Sally King, CCH
Director of RavenCroft Garden. A Community Centered Herbalist, visionary, & educator bringing Community Centered Herbalism to the heart of "health care".

Welcome to RavenCroft Garden, the home of Community Centered Herbalism. I stand washing my hands at the kitchen sink, admiring the sprigs of rosemary in full bloom, picked and placed in a small pitcher to enliven, to cheer and to love. A perennial friend, who has been with me so long, awakens my heart and mind in this moment to beginnings and endings, to the ever-present process of change.

This year I find myself in teh Director's chair. I wish I could say the Director's garden, but this idea we have been cultivating for so long at RavenCroft needs someone to direct energy fromt eh office and from the computer "The Weaver".

It is the vision of Community Centered Herbalism that has touched ground and rooted deep. All around us we see a world in need of people with the skills, wisdom, confidence to cultivate life, deepen connections and ground healing. Community Centered Herbalists are people who become resources within their community whose vision of health, healing and wholeness rise from the very ground we stand upon.

I am challenged to bring Community Centered Herbalism to the heart of "health care" and to expand our understanding that "health care" means a care that cultivates, sustains and celebrates all life. I look forward to seeing each one of you. Remember to check out our web site and sign up for our newsletter. As one of our apprentices says,

Peace Out,
Sally King

EagleSong, CCH
Founder of RavenCroft Garden. 24 years cultivating personal, community and environmental health through education and practice. Keeping herbs in peoples' gardens, hands and homes.

Another turn of the wheel, finds me more away from RavenCroft than home. I was offered an opportunity to hone my skills as herbalist and gardener by designing and Implementing the new Kitchen gardens for The Herbfarm Restaurant in Woodinville. I have the pleasure of creating a Garden of Eatin' so to speak and am excited to rise to the occasion. Since The Herbfarm is on the grounds of Willows Lodge, I am lead gardener for the Lodge as well. A magnificent kitchen garden coupled with a fantastic chance to explore ecological landscaping on a grand scale. Come say hi and visit these gardens if you're in Woodinville.

I will continue to bring my usual wit and knowledge to classes at RavenCroft. It has been my devotion to craft these beautiful gardens, with the loving hands of many, many people over the years. It is my joy to enlighten, empower and encourage others to move Into the natural world for health and wholeness. I hope you can join us for a class or garden open this summer and share the magic of RavenCroft Garden.

Our work has focused over the years Into 3 main areas: Gardening, the care and tending of the land; Herbal Medicine Making, how to turn plants from the garden Into remedies to soothe, comfort and nourish those you love and Food Camp, my perennial favorite! How could I have known 25 years ago, when I began my love affair with sauerkraut, how right on I'd be in 2005. Hooray for Slow Food!! Check out our weekend workshops In these 3 areas, they will change your life forever! Each day I awake with peace In my heart and pray that It might find it's way into the world. It is the deep peace of nature, please remember to take some each day.

Bright Blessings,
EagleSong,
