Immerse yourself in the rich, diverse habitat of NW ecology. Sally & EagleSong have been leading botanical/herbal tours to unique NW sites for over 15 years and love to engage participants in a deep appreciation of this place called Home. Enjoy one or more of these adventurous forays. Dress for the weather and bring a sack lunch. Map to trail head, carpool information and list of recommended field guides sent upon receipt of registration.

Join us for our yearly pilgrimage to Puget Sound and discover a Northwest native legend and totem we call She Who Feeds the People. Enjoy a saltwater meander where within one square mile, sea vegetable, alpine and forest habitats all exist. Eat seaweed, taste weeds!

A Walk on the Dry Side

Explore the unique plant habitat that sun, heat and humans create. Stroll on an island in the Wenatchee River, touch blue elderflower, wild catnip, and savor the flavor of wild seedling cherries. Meet familiar west side plants in their east side dress. Visit a sagebrush guild, fruit orchards.

Lavender Hills Farm, Marysville, WA
Frolic in fragrant purple fields of lavender at a NW Centennial Farm! See the difference between French and English lavenders. Enjoy a mini-class and learn how to grow, harvest, dry and use this amazing herb.

A Walk on the Urban Side
Seattle, WA
Meet a great variety of plants in unique urban environments. Visit the wild side of the "herban" scene at Magnuson Park along Lake Washington and explore a formal historical "Herban" Garden, established in 1911 by the UW Pharmacy Department, with hundreds of herb species. Informative and fun!
